El cuento policial

Resumen

A partir de tres antologías clásicas del cuento policial –mexicano y latinoamericano–, se delimitan las características y desarrollo del género, así como las diferencias o dependencias posibles que tiene éste con respecto de la novela policial y negra, en el en- tendido de que, aunque ambos son géneros narrativos, responden a diferentes exigen- cias estructurales y, por tanto, no deben trasladarse las características de aquélla a éste.

Based on three classic detective story anthologies –Mexican and Latin American–, the characteristics and development of the genre are delimited, as well as the differences or possible dependencies that it has with respect to the detective novel and crime novel, with the understanding that, although both are narrative genres, they respond to different structural requirements and, therefore, the characteristics of the former should not be transferred to the latter.
