El personaje femenino en “La novia robada” de Juan Carlos Onetti

Resumen

En el presente escrito se realiza un seguimiento sobre el origen del cuento “La novia robada” del autor uruguayo Juan Carlos Onetti, con base en su propia narrativa y en la referencia del cuento “Una rosa para Emily” de William Faulkner. Además, se destaca la estructura del texto. Finalmente, se analiza la configuración del personaje femenino, Moncha Insaurralde, por medio de las diferentes voces narrativas del cuento.

In this paper, a follow-up is made on the origin of the story “The Stolen Bride” by the Uruguayan author Juan Carlos Onetti, based on his own narrative and on the reference to the story “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner. In addition, the structure of the text is highlighted. And, finally, the configuration of the female character, Moncha Insaurralde, is analyzed through the different narrative voices of the story.
